My condolences to Betty and family it was my honor to have met and briefly get to know he was a wonderful man. My father spoke very highly of Lyle called him a good friend and shipmate. He didn’t say that about many people Lyle met a lot to him. Fair winds and a following sea.

Mr B put the 1 in 1st class. He was a true gentleman. Great father, great husband, great human being. I spent many years hanging out with Bobby and Buddy....we kept Mr B on his toes and he kept us from getting in big trouble.
God bless his heart....

I was very sorry to hear of the loss of your father, grandfather and great grandfather. Words just can't express the feeling of loss. Lyle was always so welcoming to me and my parents who thought of and asked about him often. He was a man who was always there to help when needed. Lyle, you will be greatly missed by many

Uncle Lyle was always a very kind man. Whenever he would come to ND, we all would gather to visit with him. He was always so put together. Always had a voice that was quiet but heard. No matter when he called he always would talk a few minutes and find out how you were. The man had a history that will never be matched. Greatest sympathies to all of the family.

Pop you were the rock for our family. You were always there for everyone when we needed you. You will be missed so very much by countless people. I hope all of your pains are all gone and you are at peace. Keep a close eye on Uncle Buddy and Uncle Billy to make sure they are not fighting. You should go find Poppa and get a golf game going with him, Uncle Tommy and Uncle Franny. We will take care of gramma down here as long ad the lord needs us to, but be sure that she will come to be with you soon!!! From your second oldest grandchild, I love you!! Until we meet again!!

My sincere condolence to Aunt Betty, Linda & Mark, Bob & Sue and families. After being gone for nearly 80 years, North Dakota and his entire family there remained close to Uncle Lyle’s heart. He will be lovingly remembered as a true hero to all who knew him. As Janet stated, his life long service to our country and the pride in which he served is a testimate to his patriotism. He truly was one of “The Greatest”. I will miss his daily conversations with Mom almost as much as she will. There is no doubt in my mind that he is catching up with the many loved ones who have gone on ahead of us, sharing with them his endless stories, humor and wit, I am proud to have called him “Uncle” and will cherish his memory until he and I meet again. All my Love, Polly

My greatest sympathy to Betty, Linda and Mark, Bob and Sue, and all the grandchildren. Please know he was near and dear to the hearts of his entire extended Bercier family from North Dakota. It always meant a lot to us he cared enough to keep tabs on us all, and we cherished dearly his visits and many phone calls. We take pride in his dedication and service to our country, and are deeply saddened by another member of The Greatest Generation leaving us. RIP Uncle Lyle. You were loved by many and will be missed dearly.
